S690QL1 is good weld-ability, -60 temperature impact test in 30J in quenched and tempered steel. It could be used in lower temperature environment.

EN 10025 S690QL1 steel have the good weldable and fine grain structural property. So, it can be used into the steel structural or welded vessel or pressure vessels. S690QL1 steel also has the high yield strength, and high tensile strength and with low temperature impact test. So, it usually used in offshore equipment production.

 

The mechanical properties at ambient temperature for quenched and tempered steel plate

High tensile strength steel plate S690QL1 is owned minimum yield strength at 690 Mpa and tensile strength within 770-940 Mpa when rolling under steel standard EN 10025-6.The low temperature impacting test shall be done under minus 60 centigrade.

The heat treatment for high strength steel plate S690QL is under Quenched and tempered. Quenching operation which consists of cooling a ferrous steel plate more rapidly than in still air.

Tempering heat treatment applied to a ferrous steel plate generally after quench hardening or other heat treatment to bring the properties to the required level.
