Weldable structural carbon steel plate SM400A is under steel standard JIS G3106. For the steel plate thickness equal or below 16mm, the minimum yield strength for high strength steel plate SM400A shall be above 245Mpa, for the thickness between 16mm and 40mm, the minimum yield strength shall be 235 Mpa, and for the thickness above 40mm, the minimum yield point of steel SM490A shall be 215 Mpa.
