ASTM A537 is a standard for boiler and pressure vessel steel plate with heat treatment and carbon, Mn, Si. ASTM A537 is suitable for fusion welding pressure vessel and carbon Mn Si steel plate with heat treatment.

According to standard ASTM A537, the max thickness for A537 class1 is 100mm and the max thickness for A537class2 and A537class3 is 150mm.
The heat treatment for A537class1 steel plate, A537class2 steel plate, A537class3 steel plate:
A537class1 steel plate should be normalizing and A537class2 steel plate, A537class3 steel plate should be quenching and tempering. The minimum quenching tempering temperature for A537class2 steel plate should be 620℃ and keep temperature 1/2 hours. The minimum quenching tempering temperature for A537class3 steel plate should be 630℃ and keep temperature 1/2 hours.
