A131Gr.A steel plate is primarily for use in ship construction, when the steel is to be welded, it is presupposed that a welding procedure suitable for the grade of steel and intended use or service will be utilized.
A131 Grade A steel plate is common strength shipbuilding plate which is mainly used for built hull of vessels, ship body construction. Normally when rolling,Air rolled and Control Rolled is ok for ship plate A131 Grade A with the thickness equal and belows 40 Millimeters, and for thickness above 40mm,the heat treatment shall be Normalised or TMCP, these two technical treatment would improve steel strength in yield and tensile points.
