1. Pay attention to the natural conditions of the site. Indoor and outdoor, inland coastal areas, the salt content and air humidity in the air at different locations in different regions, sunlight, building shape and orientation, etc. will affect the growth rate and composition of the rust layer of the weather resistant steel plate, so it will show more or less uneven rust state. If there is a requirement for uniform color, pay attention to the setting of the water outlet and the uniformity of the lighting and water of the whole workpiece.
2. Avoid standing water. In the water environment, the rust layer is easy to corrode in layers, and attention should be paid to the drainage design near the bottom of the weather resistant steel palte. For example, if the planting pond is made of weather resistant steel, attention should be paid to the filling height and the internal drainage channel when designing to avoid the muddy water gushing out when it rains and polluting and corroding the steel.
3. The color of the weather resistant steel sample is not very informative. Because it takes 6 months to 1 year from a new steel plate to a stable and dense rust-red protective layer in the general natural environment (with rust accelerator), it may be longer for some dry areas or indoors. Furthermore, it takes about a month to produce even a simple uniform rust yellow. During this process, the color of the components gradually transitioned from bright yellow, khaki, orange, orange-red, reddish-brown, and brown.
4. Weather resistant steel plates does not corrode, but corrodes slowly. The service life of high quality weather resistant steel is 8 times that of ordinary steel (annual corrosion rate of one side is 0.097mm). A little thickness corrosion allowance should be considered in the design.
