EN10225 S460G2+M is a weldable structural steel for offshore use. Many of our customers use it in exploration rigs, production platforms, offshore wind turbines and FPSOs. With the addition of Chromium, Molybdenum and Nickel and being thermo mechanically rolled it is highly effective as a high strength low alloy steel in many marine and offshore environments.
EN10225 Grade S460G2+M Offshore Platform Steel Plate is mainly used to Offshore Structural and Ocean Marine drilling platform.
Our products naturally comply with the stringent EN10225 standard for steel used in the offshore industry. Grade S355G10/S46062 steel, for example, provides guaranteed weld ability and a higher purity level. This demands more stringent requirements for the chemical composition and possible imperfections.
