Stainless steel has three major characteristics: weldability, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance.
Weldability: under normal circumstances, the weldability of stainless steel is different, because some stainless steels have different requirements for welding properties. The stainless steel used in tableware with general properties has almost no welding requirements, but for some thermos cups, water heaters, and drinking water, steel pipes have relatively high requirements for the welding properties of stainless steel, and these products need to be welded before they can be used.
Corrosion resistance: for most stainless steel products, the corrosion resistance is relatively strong. Among them, tableware, vacuum flasks, water heaters, drinking fountains and steel pipes have strong requirements for the corrosion resistance of stainless steel.
Heat resistance: stainless steel has good high temperature resistance. Generally speaking, stainless steel can still maintain excellent physical and mechanical properties at high temperatures. The heat resistance is mainly reflected in austenitic stainless steel, because there is a part of this kind of stainless steel. Carbon exists, so it has a certain effect on the heat resistance of stainless steel, but it has no effect on most stainless steels.
