ASTM1010 has low mechanical strength, good plasticity and toughness.ASTM1010 is easy to mould pressing forming, cold condition easy to machining, good welding performance. In order to improve 1010 steel surface hardness, carburizing and cyanide can be processed. ASTM1010 is used in the manufacturing of not high strength components, cold stamping, forging and carburized parts such as bolts, washers, plate, shell, etc.

With no heat treatment or heat treatment (annealing, normalizing and high temperature tempering) status of delivery. For heat treatment state delivery should be indicated in the contract, otherwise delivery without heat treatment.
