ASTM1045 steel

ASTM1045 is high-quality carbon structural steel under the standard ASTM A29/A29M-04. The equivalent material for ASTM1045 is Gr1045, G10450,1.1191，C45E.
ASTM1045 is a kind of high strength carbon quality steel. 1045 is always used under the station normalizing because of it’s poor hardenability and by quenching and tempering when requiring high mechanical properties. 1045 steel has medium cold deformation and plastic and it’s machinability is better for annealing and normalizing. ASTM1045 used in the manufacturing of high strength requirement parts, such as gear, shaft, piston pin and the stress is not big mechanical product, forging, stamping parts and bolts, nuts, pipe joint.
